Like Mother, Like Daughter

Now that Lillian is older, naptime has morphed into rest time. Although Lillian still falls asleep most days, I try not to get too stressed out if she doesn't.
Lillian enjoys looking at books as she is resting. Today, she fell asleep with the book in her hands!
I think this is how I must look some nights. Especially now that I'm having a harder time getting comfortable at  night, I tend to fall asleep with a book in my hands!

(After Easter) Egg Dying!

Since the days leading up to Easter were incredibly busy, we decided to dye eggs in the relaxing days that followed.
Lillian and I were both really excited about these glitter eggs. Lillian definitely gravitates towards girly things, so I knew she would like these. We were a little disappointed that they forgot to include the special glitter!

I love Lillian's face as she drops her first egg into dye. Pink dye, of course!

She did such a nice job - so careful!

Since we didn't have the special glitter, we improvised with some Easter stickers that we found.

Family Pictures

A childhood friend of mine is getting started with photography. We thought it would be perfect if she built her portfolio and practiced on us! It was a lot of fun to get family pictures taken!

Happy Easter - He is Risen!

We are blessed to have so much family to spend Easter with. We started our day with a chilly Sunrise Service and a delicious Easter breakfast. After the church service, the children hunted for eggs.
There were so, so many eggs for the preschool aged children to find!
After a while, a bunch of adults started to pick up eggs because the kids were starting to get tired!
I'm guessing that Lillian had about 50 eggs! It was a lot of fun!

Getting ready to hunt for eggs at Grandmom's house. This brings back memories!

Ellie and Lillian - Cousins and Friends

My time of watching Ellie has mostly come to an end. Once we get settled in with the baby, I will watch Ellie once a week. For now though, Lillian won't be spending quite as much time with her playmate.

Endless Cardboard Box Fun

Papa and Aunt Lea Ann cut out windows and doors for Lillian and Nixon.

They had so much fun crawling back and forth in the long box.

After a while, the box became Lillian's house. She enjoyed playing with her babies in her "house" and even got Nixon to go "night night" with her. They pulled in blankets and pillows and had a good old time!

Overdue for an Update!

Even though my blogging journey has just begun, I've already had to move it to the back burner as life has been especially busy over the past month. Jason's mom went home to be with the Lord on March 16th. We have been so blessed to be a part of Sue's life. She was a woman of the Lord - and an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. We are comforted to be certain that Nana is rejoicing in heaven.

Along with spending much of our free time with Jason's dad, Steve, we are also preparing for the arrival of a new baby! Less than two weeks until the baby's due date. Lillian is getting so excited - she is confident that the new baby will be a sister!

I'm excited to post some pictures that we have taken over the past month!
